How I use AI.
This is how I use AI across everything I make, including Lavenders Flowers, Tono + Co, The Hive and my courses, and where I draw my lines. I'd rather tell you plainly than have you wonder.
Effective November 6, 2026My one rule: AI drafts, I decide.
A human always has the final touch
Nothing goes out in my name without me reading it and saying yes. That includes emails, posts, proposals and course materials. If something is wrong, that's on me, not the robot.
My story
Why it's here
Why I use it
I'm a neurodivergent mom with late-diagnosed ADHD, and a language processing disorder that comes along with it. I run two creative businesses, and the load is constant. I'm the one who remembers the schedules, the follow-ups, the meals and the idea I had at 2am.
My brain doesn't struggle with ideas. It struggles with what to do next, and with getting words onto a page without a spiral. For years I fell asleep thinking about what I hadn't finished. AI holds the juggling so my head doesn't have to, and it fixes my spelling. The thinking is still mine. It just isn't all riding on me at once anymore.
What I believe
At first I only used AI for little things that felt safe. Then I let it in further, and the relief was huge. Women don't have it easy in our society, and neurodivergent mothers have it harder. AI has supported me through the pressures of being a woman and an entrepreneur, and for me the good outweighs the bad. I'm not the one living next to a data center, and I know that matters.
I believe that with regulation, as we keep growing and putting policies in place, AI can become a tool that lets people do more of the human things: their life's purpose, or simply being more present. It may sound backwards for an artist to use AI, but AI isn't making my art. It's making space for me, and for you, to spend more time doing what we were put here to do.
My lines
Where I draw them
It sounds like me because it learned from me
My helpers learned my voice from hours of my own recorded talks and calls. The ideas, stories and opinions are mine. AI helps me get them out of my head and into writing.
What AI never replaces
- My floral design work is made by human hands, mine and my team's.
- My photos are real photos of real work. I don't present AI-made images as mine.
- Coaching calls and design consults are me, live.
- Nobody lost a job to a robot. My bees haven't replaced any human's job. They've brought relief.
Your information
Some of my tools connect to AI assistants such as Claude by Anthropic, for example to draft a reply to your email or prepare for our call. I only share what's needed for the task, never your payment details, and I've turned off the setting that lets Claude use my chats to improve its models. The Privacy Policy has the full details.
Two things can be true
AI has real costs. Data centers use water, energy and land, and they land in someone's county. The companies building it have few limits, and I want stronger boundaries and laws around that. It has also given me back real space, time and energy for the work I love. I hold both. I'm a sustainable florist, and I'm still working out where my own line in the sand is.
Your line is yours
My assistant doesn't eat meat, and I've never once thought that was silly. If AI is a line for you, I respect that completely, and you never need it to work with me. If you're curious, you don't have to jump in: try a little and see how it feels. Take what helps and leave the rest. I'd just love for you to decide on purpose, not by default.
This is where I am today
It's what I believe right now. I give myself permission to keep learning, change my mind and evolve, and when I do, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
